James “Jim” Michael Richardson, son of the late Edward and Syrena (Higgins) Richardson, was born March 30, 1954, in Barbourville, Kentucky, and departed this life May 2, 2018, at his home in Norwood, Missouri. He was 64 years, 1 month, and 2 days of age.
Jim grew up and went to school in Barbourville, Kentucky. He married Brenda Barlett on October 10, 1998, in Mansfield, Missouri.
Jim was a commercial electrician by trade and he drove a truck for a while. He was also an auctioneer with his own auction barn, which he ran for several years and he loved to tinker in used furniture sales. Jim loved to spend time with his brother, David, in his garage and aggravate and hang out with his niece and nephews. He loved to hunt, fish, ride motorcycles, and spend quality time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. He loved to play UNO with his kids and grandkids and he was very proud that all of his grandsons had his name. Jim was greatly loved and he will be missed by many.
Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Richardson, an infant brother, Eddie Richardson, and by one sister, Jessia Hammond.
He is survived by Brenda Richardson of their home, two sons, James Derrick Richardson and his wife, Kristin, of Mansfield, Missouri, and Michael Huberts of Springfield, Missouri, two daughters, Shantella Richardson of Norwood, Missouri, and Elizabeth Hale and her husband, William, of Cabool, Missouri, one brother, David Richardson and his wife, Dede, of Norwood, Missouri, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will greatly miss him.
