James “Jim” Shawn Lynch, son of Terry Wayne and Sue (Plantz) Lynch, was born on January 24, 1974 in Virginia, Minnesota, and departed this life on December 8, 2007 south of Mtn. Grove, Missouri in Douglas County, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 33 years, 10 months, and 14 days of age.
Jim grew up and attended school in eastern and western Washington. He moved to the Norwood, Missouri area in 1994, when he was twenty years of age. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Brown on October 4, 2003 in Norwood, Missouri. Together they have six children.
Jim was a family man who loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, brother, grandson, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was self-employed as a home contractor. He enjoyed his work building new homes and the challenges they presented.
Jim was saved and baptized and loved the Lord very much. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Norwood where he enjoyed attending services and get-togethers. He was preceded in death by his father: Terry Lynch;
Jim is survived by his loving wife: Elizabeth Lynch of their home; five sons: Austin, Jacob, Tylor Lynch, Brook, and Blake Akers, all of Norwood, Missouri; one daughter: Emily Lynch of Norwood, Missouri; his mother and step-father: Sue and Don Stuart of Norwood, Missouri; one brother: Will Fitzpatrick of Ava, Missouri; a step-brother: Steve Stuart of Wenatchee, Washington; two sisters: Catherine Fitzpatrick of Ava, Missouri, and Candace May of Rogersville, Missouri; two step-sisters: Stephanie Hickman of Twisp, Washington, and Synthia Eddy of Omak, Washington; grandmother: Lorado Uhrich; Auntie Ann and Uncle Don; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Jim Lynch were held Wednesday, December 12, 2007, 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church, Norwood, with Rev. Steve Fugitt officiating. Song selections were “Once Again,” and “Amazing Grace.” Pallbearers were Will Fitzpatrick, Josh Fitzpatrick, Trey Fitzpatrick, Jared Trostel, Justin Trostel, Austin Lynch, and Jacob Lynch. Burial was in the Thomas Cemetery, Norwood, under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
