Jim Edd Parsons

Jim Edd Parsons, son of the late David and Pearlie Parsons, was born on June 8, 1948 in Wright County, Missouri, and departed this life on December 25, 2012 at his residence in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a short illness. He was 64 years of age.
Jim Edd grew up in Wright County and lived in the Mtn. Grove and Hartville areas. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Sue Smith on October 19, 1965 in Hartville, Missouri. Nine children were born to this union.
Jim Edd enjoyed being outdoors, especially when hunting and fishing. He also looked forward to visiting with his family and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Parsons; two brothers; four sisters; two sons: Christopher and James; and by one daughter: Rachel.
He is survived by his six children: Steph Collins and her husband, Jeff, of Couch, Missouri, Joseph Garrison and his wife, CaSondra of Manes, Missouri, Shane Parsons of Mtn. Grove, Melissa Bates and her husband, Brannon, of Mtn. Grove, Hannah Mayfield and her husband, Nathan, of Bell, Missouri, and Angela Bradshaw and Rick Croney, of Mtn. Grove; eleven grandchildren: Bethany and Landon Collins of Couch, Missouri, Joseph and Haylie Garrison of Manes, Missouri, Britany, Megan, and Brooklyn Bates of Mtn. Grove, Cody, Austin, and Shiann Bradshaw, and Elizabeth Croney of Mtn. Grove; three great-grandchildren; five brothers: Davey Parsons of the home; Jr. Ray Parsons of Columbia, Missouri, Arnold Parsons of Doniphan, Missouri, Frankie Parsons of Hartville, Missouri and Pete Parsons and his wife, Faye, of Mtn. View, Missouri; one sister: Brenda Sue Volner of Hartville, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives who will sadly miss him.
