Jessica Simone (Boatright) Bledsoe was born February 24, 1981, at home in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Mark and Barbara Boatright. She passed away September 4, 2020, at Mercy St. Francis in Mountain View, Missouri, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 39 years, 6 months, and 11 days of age.
Jessica was homeschooled all twelve grades and later continued her education by taking writing courses at Ozark Mountain Technical College.
She gave her life to Christ and was baptized when she was 18 years old. Many will remember Jessica as a member of the Celtic Christian band “The Boatrights” where she first began to use her love of music in ministry to Christ. Her love for music and serving family and others found fulfillment in her church life. She was an active member of Mountain Grove Family Church where she served as worship leader as well as one of the leaders of the teen youth group. Her passion for serving others never diminished.
Jessica married the love of her life, Danny Bledsoe, on July 28, 2007, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She completely embraced Danny’s children, Bryson, Karli, and Morgan. Recently she found great joy in being called “Mimi” by Karli’s children, Tuff and Hadley. On October 8, 2009, Danny and Jessica welcomed their daughter, Camryn. She was the greatest joy in Jessica’s life.
Jessica was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Eugene Boatright, her maternal Grandparents, Clause and Joanne Miller, and by one nephew, Nicolas Tantone.
