Jerry Milton Cousins

Jerry Milton Cousins, son of the late Joseph and Frances (Wilkerson) Cousins, was born on November 17, 1934 in Helena, Missouri, and passed away on May 22, 2013 in the Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, Missouri. He was 78 years, 6 months, and 5 days of age.
Jerry grew up and attended school in Missouri and later attended four years of college. Jerry served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on April 16, 1960.
He was employed as a Certified Pedorithist and operated three retail stores.
He was united in marriage to Priscilla Carol Belanger on December 28, 1988 in Evans, Georgia. They made their home in Georgia for fifteen years before moving to Douglas County, Missouri, where they lived in the Vanzant Community for the past nine years.
Jerry enjoyed dancing, reading, fishing, swimming, hunting mushrooms, and having cookouts with his family and friends.
He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sports activities. He was a very family oriented man who loved his family very much.
He also looked forward to taking walks with his Australian Shepherd, “Bear.”
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla Cousins, of their home in Vanzant, Missouri; five children: Michele Rabun of Vanzant, Missouri, Christopher Rabun and his wife, Amanda, of Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska, Jerry Stevens of Martinez, Georgia, Vicki Ballinger of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Jeffrey Cousins of Lothrop, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren: Priscilla Wiggs, Tray Wiggs, Christian Rabun, Cory Rabun, Jason Cousins, Jacob Cousins, Jessie Michael Cousins, Brock Ballinger, Brandon Ballinger, Damon Ballinger, Jena Ballinger, Calvin Cousins, Kenzi Cousins, and Kayla Cousins; four great-grandchildren; one brother: Richard Lee Cousins; one sister: Sue Lamont; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives, neighbors, and friends, who will sadly miss him.
