Jerry Lee Todd

Jerry Lee Todd, son of Furl C. and Dorothy (Baney) Todd, was born on October 9, 1947 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. He passed away on September 29, 2007 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Cleveland, Missouri, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, at 59 years of age.
He met the love of his life and married Wilma Barnes on April 22, 1967. Two daughters were born to this union. They had made their home in the Cleveland, Missouri area for many years.
Jerry was a hard working carpenter for thirty-five years and was a proud member of the Carpenters Union, Local 777, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially when hunting and fishing. He could always find time for fishing, no matter how busy he was. Jerry had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and neighbor. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father: Furl Todd.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of forty years: Wilma Todd of their home; two daughters: Michelle Biondo and her husband, Mike, of Peculiar, Missouri, and Missy Todd Foreman of Belton, Missouri; five grandchildren: Jesse Foreman, Anna Biondo, Gabby Biondo, Joe Biondo and Michael Biondo; his mother: Dorothy Todd of Peculiar, Missouri; two brothers: Dave Todd and John Todd, both of Belton, Missouri; four sisters: Kathy Stowers of Topeka, Kansas, Jane Rogers of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, Sandy Tawny of Osawatomie, Kansas, and Linda Vest of Peculiar, Missouri; many nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.
Funeral services were held for Jerry Todd, Wednesday, October 3, 2007, 11:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel, with Rev. Gary Hurley officiating. Pallbearers were Devin Todd, William Vest, Greg Delcour, Lonnie Joe Barnes, Daniel Moore, and David Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Gebelin, Donald Delcour, Chad Roy, and Dennis Moore. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
