Gerald “Jerry” Bradley, 83, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home with his wife and great-granddaughter by his side, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Jerry was born July 31, 1937, in Arkansas City, Kansas, the eldest son of Raymond Henry and Lillian Lucille (Cook) Bradley.
As a young man, Jerry moved to Boulder, Colorado, and attended Campion Academy in Loveland, Colorado. He served two years in the United States Army as an automotive fuel and electric technician, which included a tour served in Germany. He was honorably discharged after completing his service. After his military service, Jerry returned to Boulder, where he met his first wife, Ruth Oldham. Together they had two children, Katherine Lee and Stephen Eugene. Later they relocated to Mountain Grove, Missouri. They later divorced. Jerry met his current wife, Sharlene Mayfield, in Mountain Grove, and they were married December 10, 1988.
Jerry had a business moving mobile homes for 38 years. After retiring from that, he had a pilot car business, where he ran escort services for oversize and super loads, until the age of 80. Jerry was a devout Christian that loved to attend church when his health allowed. He was a deacon at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mountain Grove. He always enjoyed spending time with his church family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lillian Bradley, his brother, Ronald Bradley, his sister Barbra Culver, and three step-children, Teresa Top, Louie Mowan, and Vonya Mowan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Sharlene Bradley of Mountain Grove, his daughter, Katherine L. Pae of Exmore, Virginia, his son, Stephen Bradley and his wife, Lela, of Murrieta, California, three brothers, Roger Bradley and his wife, Geraldine, of Ellijay, Georgia, Ed Bradley and his wife, Mary, of Woburn, Massachusetts, and Merle Bradley and his wife, Lei, of Cortez, Colorado, two grandsons, Kaleb Bradley of Springfield, Missouri, and Skyler Bradley of Murrieta, California, one step- granddaughter, Teascha Hulbert and her husband, Kevin, of Mountain Grove, four step-grandsons, Luther Moore and his wife, Brittany, of Willow Springs, Missouri, Trenton Moore and his wife, Fallon, of Mansfield, Missouri, Harland Keller and Seth Keller, and many more grand and great-grandchildren of the heart.
