Jerri Lynn Harker

d. April 24, 2007

Jerri Lynn Harker, daughter of the late Oliver Anthony and Mildred Elaine (Jenkins) Harker, was born on March 29, 1942 in South Bend, Indiana, and departed this life suddenly on April 24, 2007 at her daughter’s residence in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. She was 65 years and 26 days of age.
Jerri lived in Indiana for a short time and moved with her family to California where she grew up and attended school. She loved the warm weather of southern California and was very happy while living there.
She had made her home in the Mtn. Grove area for the last four years to be near her daughter and family. While living here in Mtn. Grove she enjoyed working at McDonald’s where she met a lot of people and enjoyed her job and visiting with those around her.
Jerri was a kind person who was always willing to help those who were in need. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Steven Harker. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law of twenty years: Lisa Rene and Mark Caverly of Mtn. Grove; two granddaughters: Meghan Ashley Caverly and Chelsey Lynn Caverly, both of Mtn. Grove; one brother: David Harker of Santa Ana, California; four sisters: Nancy Gilmore of Monterey Park, California, Debbie Nuelle of Covina, California, Valerie Lawrence of Delta, Colorado, and Vanessa Ferguson of Neosho, Missouri; and by several nieces; nephews; her Cocker Spaniel and companion of three years: Casey; and other relatives and friends.
The family is comforted in knowing that memories of Jerri will always be with them and she is not in any pain.
Memorial services for Jerri Harker were held Thursday, May 3, 2:00 PM in the Willow Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Duane Crewse officiating. Song selections were “Home,” “The Dance,” and “You Raise Me Up.” Burial will be at a later date in California. Arrangements were under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
