Jean Williams

Jean Alberta Williams, daughter of the late Albert and Iva Brook, was born February 1, 1927 in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life August 31, 2019 in Seymour, Missouri. She was 92 years, 6 months, and 30 days of age.

Jean grew up in the Mountain Grove area. She was united in marriage to Lee Collins and one son was born to this union. Jean was later united in marriage to Joe Williams.

Jean was a home body but spent many years working in the field office for Kraft. Her greatest joy on earth was her two grandchildren, Landon and Lauren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was devoted to her family. Jean loved sewing, quilting, and outdoor activities while her health permitted. She also enjoyed gardening and mowing, and could break a mower faster than anyone.

Jean was a devout Christian and cherished her relationship with God. She faithfully attended Diggins Baptist Church where she served as organist as long as her health permitted.

Besides her parents and husbands, Jean was preceded in death by one sister, Letha Franklin.

She is survived by one son, Micah Collins of Rogersville, Missouri, and his wife, Theresa, of Springfield, Missouri, one grandson, Landon Collins of Rogersville, Missouri, and one granddaughter, Lauren Collins of Springfield, Missouri. Jean will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
