James 'Jimmy' Floyd Richardson

James Floyd “Jimmy” Richardson, son of Robert E. Richardson and D. Elaine (Johnson) Adkisson, was born on November 17, 1962 in Richmond, California and departed this life on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at his residence near Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a long illness. He was 46 years, 11 months and 24 days of age.
Jimmy grew up in California and graduated from Vintage High School in Napa, California. While in high school, he enjoyed playing football and was on the school rodeo team, where he won the district championship in steer wrestling. He continued on in the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association for several years.
He was united in marriage to Sara Johnson on April 7, 1992 in Mexico. One son was born to this union.
He worked in construction and was a Ferrier for many years while living in California and also later in Missouri. He had lived in the Mtn. Grove area for the past twelve years. He enjoyed being outdoors; especially when tending to his ranch and working his cattle. He also liked hunting and skeet shooting. In his younger years, he was very involved in bird hunting with his grandfather, Floyd Johnson. He also liked to spend time with his son, Wyatt, and go to rodeos whenever he could.
Jimmy never met a stranger. He loved being around people and was known as a great story teller and comedian.
He was very proud of his nephews, Steve and T.J. and their accomplishments in baseball and football.
Jimmy was a loving and caring son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife: Sara Richardson of their home; one son: Wyatt Richardson of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; his mother and step-father: Elaine and George Adkisson in Mtn. Grove; one sister: Cindy Ross and her husband, Kenny, of Napa, California; his father: Robert Richardson of California; two nephews: Steve Ross and T.J. Ross; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life in California:
Tuesday evening Jimmy's family and friends in California are invited to a memorial service and barbeque dinner at his sister's residence in Napa, California.
