James Robert Moxley, son of the late Fay Fredrick and Mini Florence (Sullivan) Moxley, was born January 12, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, and departed this life June 25, 2022, at Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 90 years, 5 months, and 13 days of age.
Jim moved from the Chicago, Illinois, area to his farm near Mansfield, Missouri, in the early 1970s. He enjoyed raising Beefmaster cattle and Appaloosa horses throughout the years on his farm.
Jim was a longtime member of Liberty Faith Church in Norwood, Missouri. He was a dedicated Christian and served the Lord for many years. Jim was very passionate about reading his Bible. He also enjoyed listening to sermons in his free time, and he loved listening to gospel music.
He loved his church family. They were always there for him and treated him as their own family. Jim's family would like to extend a special thank you to David and Elaine Clouse and Ralph and Christine Puetz for their friendship throughout the years and being there for him as his health declined.
Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, John Herbert "Jack" Moxley, sister-in-law, Dorothy Moxley, and brother-in-law, George Hardt.
He is survived by two daughters, Charmaine Bohannon and her husband, Buck, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Randi Moxley of League City, Texas, five grandchildren, Roman, Victor, Maxwell, Jaasiel, and Jayzaniah, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Hardt, five nephews, and many church family and friends who will miss him.
