James Ellis Creed

James Ellis Creed, son of John and Dorothy Mae (Parker) Creed, was born on November 3, 1943 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri and departed this life suddenly on August 6, 2009 at his residence near Hartville, Missouri. He was 66 years, 9 months, and 3 days.

James grew up and attended school in Mtn. Grove. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Jones on November 19, 1982 in St. Louis, Missouri. Three children were born to this union.

James enjoyed being outdoors, especially when fishing and spending time at the creek. He also liked working on watches like his father.

He loved the Mtn. Grove Community and was well known in the surrounding counties.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Dorothy Creed – Hicks; two brothers: Chalmer Hicks and Richard “Dick” Creed; and by one sister: Nancy Ruth Tooley.

James is survived by his father: John Creed of Mtn. Grove; his wife: Kathleen Creed of St. Louis, Missouri; two sons: James Creed and John Creed; one daughter: Lisa Creed and her fiancé, Wayne Breeden, all of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother: Floyd Edward Hicks; two sisters: Donna Wright and Beulah Kay Hicks; two granddaughters: Mikayla Davis and Chloe Breeden, and a granddaughter due in December; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
