James Dean Brooke

James Dean Brooke, son of Dale Dean Brooke and Mary Lee (Spitler) Brooke, was born January 31, 1957, in Woodlake, California, and departed this life December 26, 2023, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 66 years, 10 months, and 25 days.

He was united in marriage to Anna Keeling and to this union a daughter was born.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Keith Brooke; and nephew Cody Dry.

Jamie is survived by his life partner, Sonya of the home; daughter, Mica Brooke, of Springfield, Missouri; granddaughter, Jamie Lee Brooke; great-grandchildren, Noah James Brooke and Grayson Dean Brooke; sister, Debbie Dry and husband, Randy, of Squires, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Jamie was born in California and moved with his family to Missouri in the early 1960s where he graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1975. After high school, he proudly served four years in the U.S. Navy. He then worked in construction most of his adult life.

In his spare time, he loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, 4-wheeling, riding motorcycles, and playing music with family and friends.

Jamie was a loving life partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. We have many great memories of times spent together that we will always cherish.
