Ivan Goldman Dugger

Ivan Goldman Dugger, son of the late Gurvis Lowell and Elsie Juanita (Welch) Dugger, was born on February 14, 1928 in Wright County, Missouri, and departed this life on October 30, 2009 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri. He was 81 years, 8 months and 16 days of age.
Ivan grew up and attended school in Wright County. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1952 to serve in Germany during the Korean War.
Ivan had three sons from his first marriage to Janice.
He was employed as a truck driver all of his life. Ivan made his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho for several years and later moved to Eudora, Kansas, where he drove a truck for Hercules Ammunition Company from 1967 to 1994. During this time he also managed a cattle ranch for the O’Bryan Cattle Company.
Ivan married Sharon Hunt on August 28, 1970 in Miami, Oklahoma. They made their home in the Mtn. Grove area for the past ten years.
He enjoyed gardening each year and was known for his crop of tomatoes, corn and peppers that he loved sharing with his family, neighbors and friends. He also enjoyed fishing. He loved his family very much and looked forward to spending time with them and visiting with his many friends.
At the time of his passing he was attending the Union Grove “Caudle” Church near Norwood.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Lloyd Dugger and Russell Dugger.
He is survived by his loving wife: Sharon Dugger of their home; three sons: Steve Dugger and Brad Dugger, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Tim Dugger of St. George, Utah; one step-son: Howard L. Bloxham III of Lawrence, Kansas; three step-daughters: Bryanitta Wilson of Edgar Springs, Missouri, Leslie Grant of Eudora, Kansas, and Sheila Aiken of Dillon, Colorado; one brother: Don Dugger and his wife, Naomi, of Hartville, Missouri; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Union Grove (Caudle) Church in Norwood, MO.
Visitation:
Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the church.
