Ilene Azalea (Crisp) Ellis

Ilene Azalea Ellis, daughter of Ival and Pansy Pearl (Bowlin) Crisp, was born on March 21, 1952 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and passed away on August 29, 2013 in the Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, Missouri at 61 years of age.
Ilene grew up and attended school in Manes, Missouri and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 1970.
She was saved at an early age while attending the Evening Shade Church, where she attended most of her life. She moved to Poplar Bluff, Missouri twenty years ago and had moved back to the Cabool area when her health started failing in the spring of this year.
While living in the Mtn. Grove area, Ilene was employed by Brown Shoe Company in Mtn. Grove and also the Lee Plant in Hartville, where she made many friends over the years.
While living in the Poplar Bluff area, she made many special friends. She greatly enjoyed shopping together and going to the library.

Ilene loved to read, work puzzles and read scripture. She loved her family and enjoyed the time she had to spend with them. She also dearly loved her cats.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Dan and Docia Crisp and Virginia Helton; and by two sisters: Erlene and Kathy Crisp.
She is survived by her parents: Ival and Pansy Crisp of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; one son: Billy Ellis of Mtn. Grove; one sister: Merlene Oxley and her husband, Jerry, of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; one niece and one nephew; several cousins, and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
