Henry Everette Mccoy

March 29, 1918 — August 19, 2011

Henry Everette McCoy, son of the late Joseph and Jane (McDonald) McCoy, was born on March 29, 1918 in Wright County, Missouri and went to be with his Lord on August 19, 2011 at his home near Lynchburg, Missouri following a short illness. He was 93 years of age.
Henry grew up and attended school in the Embree community. He was united in marriage to Mildred Van De Venter on October 25, 1947 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. Three children were born to this union.
The McCoy family has always been close. The loss of their baby girl, Diana Marie, in 1951, their son, Dennis in 1990, and the their farm home burning in 1994 just drew them even closer together. All of Henry's years were spent within 1 mile of his birth place, with the exception of his serving in the Navy for 1 year. Henry was employed as a civil servant in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and retired from there on July 30, 1982.
Henry was well known and loved by so many people. He enjoyed traveling, working on his farm, trail riding, playing music with friends, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Mildred McCoy of their home; one son, Terry McCoy, and wife Sharon of Lynchburg, Missouri; two grandsons, Austin and Nathan McCoy of Lynchburg, Missouri; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
