Helen Forbes

Helen Barbara Forbes was born on March 30, 1949, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Elsie and Joseph Vesely. She attended the South Tama Public Schools, graduating in 1967.

Helen married Harold Boldt. They were blessed with three children. They later divorced.

Helen worked at Traer Manufacturing for many years. There she met the love of her life, Doug Forbes. Helen and Doug left Buckingham, Iowa, and made their home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Helen and Doug married on March 26, 2004.

Helen enjoyed decorating her home and antiquing with her friends and family. Her favorite thing to do was mowing in the hot sun on her John Deere riding lawn mower. Actually, she just loved being in the hot sun no matter what she was doing. Most of all, Helen enjoyed time spent with her family, especially the grandchildren that she loved so much.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Helen is survived by her husband, Doug; children, Shannon (Brad) Grimes of Tama, Iowa, Stacy (Robert) Kucera of Dysart, Iowa, Jason (Andrea) Boldt of Toledo, Iowa, Jake (Emily) Forbes of Texas, and Jenna Forbes (Mike Leonard) of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Dalten Kucera, Landen Kucera, Ava Boldt, Reese Boldt, Rayne Dostal, Chance Dostal, Riley Grimes, Hayden Forbes, Nolan Forbes, and Lincoln Forbes; great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Brextyn; siblings, Marcella (Roger) Boldt of Chelsea, Iowa, Gene (Betty) Vesely of Toledo, Iowa, and Leonard (Charlene) Vesely of Newton, Iowa; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and the Forbes family.
