Harold Waltza Lee, son of the late Opha and Mabel (Proctor) Lee, was born September 26, 1927 in Drury, Missouri, and departed this life December 14, 2016 at Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 89 years, 2 months, and 18 days of age.
Harold grew up in Douglas County. He left the area to work the wheat harvest and to pick apples in Washington. He married Doris Driskell in 1950. Three children were born to this union: Ronald, Jack, and Kathy.
Harold loved to hunt and fish and to cook fish for his friends and family. He also enjoyed going to Bluegrass festivals. He farmed, did carpenter work, drove a school bus, and also was a sub driver for a mail route.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Bill Lee; one infant sister, Martha Lee; and one sister-in-law, Glenda Lee.
He is survived by two sons, Ronald Kent Lee and his wife, Eula Mae, of Drury, Missouri; and Jack Lee and his wife, Gina, of Squires, Missouri; one daughter, Kathy Maddox of Nixa, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Joyce Lee of Nixa, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kyle, Dustin, and Britteny; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Logan; and a host of other relatives, neighbors, and friends who will sadly miss him.
Visitation: Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the Chapel.
