Harold Arthur Micham was born on September 1, 1935, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was the son of the late Aldon Olen Micham and Thelma Marie Mayfield. On August 15, 2016, he entered eternal rest at 80 years of age.
Harold graduated from Mountain Grove High School and went to college at Southwest Missouri State as a freshman tackle for the football team. He passed up four-year scholarships to Arkansas, Missouri, and a number of smaller colleges to attend SMS. He was All-South Central Association tackle, who graduated in the upper one-third of his high school class, and wanted to attend a college very close to home, where weekend visits were easy to work into his busy schedule.
Harold worked in pharmaceutical sales after attending college and later worked in road construction as a very skilled crane operator. He was a hardworking man and continued this with his meticulous yard work and other odd jobs.
With his first marriage, Harold had two sons, Gregory and Rance, who have given him grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On April 14, 1979, in Fairplay, Colorado, he wed Juveline (Judy) Park-Bailey, inheriting four grown children, Dean, Debra, Teresa, and Lori, along with 12 additional grandchildren and now 26 more great-grandchildren.
Harold enjoyed going to ballgames and working cattle with his lifelong buddy, Dr. Doyle Hill. He was always working outside. Now and then, he would bring in flowers and put them in a vase to enjoy for days at a time.
Harold believed in God. He was saved and baptized at a young age and attended the Willow Springs Free Will Baptist Church with his parents and sister, Deloris Marie (Phelps). He has a favorite picture of Christ that hangs on a wall where he could see it daily from his recliner.
He has joined numerous friends and family in the next realm of life, including his parents, sister, twin babies and numerous other relatives and friends.
