Glenn Eugene Zimmerman, son of the late George Herman and Merle Irene (Darling) Zimmerman, was born September 27, 1949, in Webster County, Missouri, and departed this life on December 28, 2022, at his home in Seymour, Missouri, surrounded by his family. He was 73 years, 3 months, and 1 day of age.
Glenn was a lifelong Webster County resident. He was a head strong, over-achiever, who when he set out to accomplish something, he went above and beyond to get it done. He worked hard hauling the Amish, but he enjoyed it so much it didn’t seem like work at all. Glenn also hauled hay all over the country.
Glenn enjoyed horses and horseback riding. He loved his farm, his dog, Charlie, and his 22-year-old horse that he raised and named, Flash. Glenn especially loved kids and the kids loved him; he would always have a sweet candy treat in his pocket to share with them!
Besides his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by, a brother, Robert Zimmerman, and a sister, Corrine Darling.
Survivors include his four children; Sherri Willis, Stuart Zimmerman, Erin Owens, and Dustin Scott, many grandchildren, seven brothers, Kenneth Zimmerman, Jack Zimmerman and wife, Anette, David Zimmerman and wife, Betty, Terry Zimmerman and wife, Rena, Frank Zimmerman and wife, Debbie, Tom Zimmerman and significant other, Robin, and Fred Zimmerman, three sisters, Bonnie Townlian and husband, Gary, Dorothy Wolfe and husband, Leroy, and Rita Graven and husband, Bob, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, his dog, Charlie, and his horse, Flash.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
