Glenn A. Davis

Glenn Allen Davis, son of R.A. Davis and Tena Olive (Banner) Davis, was born September 22, 1937 in Dinuba, California, and passed away on January 11, 2007 at his residence near Hartville, Missouri, following a long illness. He was 69 years, 3 months, and 19 days of age.
Glenn grew up in California and served his country in the United States Army after the Korean War at the DMZ. Following his discharge, he continued with his education and graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and a Major in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Degree. He worked for the DuPont Company in Wilmington, Delaware and later worked for the United States’ Government during the Vietnam War as a civilian engineer. He furthered his education by obtaining a Nursing Degree in 1977. In 1978, he moved to Missouri where he worked as a registered nurse for several years and retired in 2000. Glenn was a unique man who was loved very much by his family. He enjoyed gardening and his quiet surroundings.
He is survived by his mother and step-father: Tena and Carl Bryant of Ukiah, California; two brothers: Bobby W. Davis and his wife, Janice of Clovis, California, and Danny Davis and his wife, Becky of Norwood, Missouri; two sisters: Dorothy I. Jones of Clovis, California, and Betty J. Davis of Huntington Beach, California; a foster brother: Robert Bailey of Arroyo Grande, California; fifteen nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Burial for Mr. Davis was held on Friday, January 12, 2007 in the Coon Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, MO.
