Glenda Kay Mings, daughter of Lonnie Jerrel and Lula Jean (Collins) Wheat, was born October 26, 1960, in Cabool, Missouri, and departed this life November 22, 2021, at her home in Vanzant, Missouri. She was 61 years and 27 days of age.
Glenda was raised in Moberly and Vanzant. She worked for many years for the Brown Shoe Company in Mountain Grove. She was united in marriage to Richard Mings on November 4, 1987, in Dunn, Missouri.
Glenda loved being outdoors, especially when working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed crafting and reading in her spare time. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family. She loved the Christmas season and looked forward to decorating each year. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will truly be missed by all.
Glenda was saved and baptized earlier in life while attending Faith Chapel Church. She was a member and attending Willow Springs #2 Free Will Baptist Church of Vanzant at the time of her passing.
Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Jerrel Wheat, paternal grandparents, Roy and Trilba Wheat, and maternal grandparents, Albro and Barbara Collins.
Glenda is survived by her mother, Lula Jean Wheat, her husband, Richard Mings of the home, one son, Chris Goodman and wife, Eileen, of Rockbridge, Missouri, three daughters, Amber Luna and husband, Jason, of Dora, Missouri, Jessica Floyd of Las Vegas, Nevada, Faith Mings of Vanzant, Missouri, three grandchildren, Tyler Wheat, Makenzie Goodman, and Maddison Goodman, one sister, Lori Hutsell and husband, Donald, of Vanzant, Missouri, special nephews, B.J. and Cole Hutsell, and a host of other relatives, friends, and church family who will miss her dearly.
