Gladys Darlene Hagood, a courageous, dedicated, resilient, and spirited woman, passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 75. Born on September 28, 1947, in Roswell, New Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Carmenetta (Robinson) Webb. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Gladys cherished her family above all else. Her life was a testament to the strength and beauty that comes from a life well-lived, guided by her unwavering Pentecostal faith. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)
Gladys was an accomplished individual who never let anything hold her back. At the age of 50, she earned her GED and went on to attend Vatterott College, where she received her associate degree in medical billing. She then worked for Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, and retired in 2013. Throughout her life, Gladys lived in various places, including California, Texas, and Oklahoma, before settling down in Norwood, Missouri, in 1995. In her free time, she enjoyed attending and watching her grandchildren's ballgames, a testament to her dedication to her family.
Gladys is survived by her loving husband, David Hagood of Norwood, Missouri; children, Amanda Ramilo of Buffalo, Missouri, Railene Watson and husband, Chuck, of Macomb, Missouri, Lyle Raimer and husband, Izzy Solis, of Long Beach, California, Kyle Hagood of the state of Vermont, and Kari Hagood of the state of Maine; 6 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild on the way; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Carmenetta Webb, and brothers, Norman Dale Webb and Jim Robert Webb.
