Gerold Gene Frisk, 86, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2015.
Gerold was born in Lindsay, California on February 18, 1928. He joined the Merchant Marines in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1947. He was married on February 25, 1948, to Dorothy Blea (Beldon) Frisk. They were married 9 days short of 67 years.
Gerold was raised in a Christian home. As a teenager he strayed away from the church, but one month after his marriage to Dorothy, he renewed his faith in Jesus Christ and lived his life as a Christian. He served the Lord by teaching Sunday school, leading youth programs and serving on the church board. Through his faithfulness and prayers, all his children have given their lives to the Lord.
Gerold was a cement mason for 27 years, working on the Los Angeles Coliseum and many high rise buildings in California. He then went on to obtain both his realtors license and his insurance agent license. His hobby was flying. He flew a single engine Cessna when he lived in Northern California, flying from Oakdale Airport to the foothills for breakfast.
Gerold was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence Elmer and Nona May Frisk; as well as his four brothers: Ervin, Albert, Lester, and Lawrence. Yes, as you can see, he is one of eight children.
Gerold is survived by his wife: Dorothy; four children: Linda Scholle and her husband, Bill, Sondra Jennings and her husband, Darrell, Gary Frisk and his wife, Jannina, and his son Danny; his seven grandchildren: Jason, Bill, Melissa, Brent, Christopher, Johnna, and Kristopher; his five great-grandchildren: Kara, Taylor, Kyle, Jessica, and Chance; his two brothers: Frank Frisk and Lewallyn Frisk; and his sister: Nona Frisk Hartsog.
