Gerldean Eloise (Williams) Barnett

Gerldean Eloise Barnett, daughter of the late Leonard D. and Cleta Nadine (McCall) Williams, was born on October 29, 1942 in Fowler, Missouri, and departed this life on January 16, 2013 at her residence north of Norwood, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 70 years, 2 months and 18 days of age.
Gerldean grew up and attended school in the Fowler and Mtn. Grove Communities. She was united in marriage to Jack Barnett on July 15, 1962. One daughter, Jacklyn, was born to this union.
Gerldean had many hobbies that she enjoyed very much, such as, bowling, fishing, taking pictures and painting.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Gerldean’s greatest passion in life was spending time with her family. She leaves a legacy of faith and unconditional love for all that knew her.
She was a longtime member of the Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church near Norwood. She enjoyed attending services and visiting with her many friends as long as her health permitted.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson: Bradley Hill; and by one sister: Gretha McGowan.
She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-years: Jack Barnett of their home; her daughter and son-in-law: Jacklyn and Larry Shaffer of Norwood, Missouri; three grandsons: Blake Hill and his wife, Jennifer, and Luke and Levi Shaffer; three great-grandsons: Andrew, Hunter, and Owen Hill; three sisters: Geneva Ellis, Gwen Wakeman, and Genny Ellis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
We celebrate her life and the precious memories that she created for us. She was much loved and will always be remembered. Although we miss her, we hold dear to the truth: that one day we will meet again!

January 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM
in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.



Visitation: Friday,

January 18th from 6:00 PM
– 8:00 PM in the funeral home.



Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery

north of Norwood, Missouri.
