Gayle Black

Gayle Black, son of the late Paul and Floriene (Gaeckler) Black, was born on May 24, 1940 in St. Joseph, Missouri and departed this life on December 20, 2010 at his residence near Mtn. Grove, Missouri, at 70 years of age.
Gayle grew up in Missouri, Arkansas and California. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps following high school. He was united in marriage to Shirley Denney in September 19, 1958 in Bell, California. Four children were born to this union. Gayle was employed as a Weapon Systems Technician for the Department of Defense for thirty-four years supporting the United States Navy.
He enjoyed being outdoors and was known as an avid golfer. He had a great passion for the game and enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends. He also liked doing projects around the house and spending time with his family.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Kathleen Marie Black.
He is survived by his loving wife: Shirley Black of their home; his sons: Gayle W. Black and his wife, Jodi, of Jacksonville, Florida, Michael David Black and his wife, Melinda, of Oxnard, California, and Steven W. Black of Redondo Beach, California; three brothers: Jerry Black of Fort Mojave, Arizona, Norman Black of Whittier, California, and Phil Black of Pomona, California; eight grandchildren: Tiffany, Jonathan, Joshua, Micah, Jake, and Tyler Black and Nyssa and Eric Senzig; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
