Gary Lee

Gary Johnson Lee, son of the late Bob E. and Myrtle M. (Johnson) Lee, was born on July 12, 1955, in Durango, Colorado, and passed from this life at his home in Dawson, Missouri, on July 14, 2022, following a long illness, at 67 years of age.

Gary grew up in California and graduated from Lehigh High School in Cupertino, California. He worked as a restaurant cook and was involved in food services for many years. Gary was known to be a prankster, and he was always ready with a good joke. He enjoyed scuba diving and slot car racing with his brother, Roger. He also loved to ride his motorcycle and enjoyed taking long trips on his bike.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Lee and Roger Lee.

He is survived by one brother, Michael Lee, and his wife, Mary, of Dawson, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Lee of Vallejo, California, and Sheri Lee of Lake Head, California; several nephews and nieces he was very close to, Misty-Ann Lee of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Mindy Comeaux, and her husband, Wade, of Dawson; and a great-nephew, Gregory Comeaux; special friends, Mark and Cindy Harlan of Sonora, California.
