Freida Mae Woodard, daughter of the late Leslie and Anna (Killian) Hendrickson, was born May 19, 1933 in Randles, Missouri, and departed this life July 10, 2017 in Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 84 years, 1 month, and 21 days of age.
She was born and raised in Randles, Missouri, and later moved with her family to Kankakee, Illinois, where she attended high school.
Freida met Wayne Woodard and they were married on July 27, 1956 in Kankakee. They lived in Sacramento, California, for a few years before moving to a farm south of Mountain Grove, Missouri, where they raised dairy and beef cattle and hogs for many years. After they retired and sold their farm, Freida and Wayne moved to town where they have resided for the last twenty-four years.
She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3770 in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Freida loved traveling all over the United States in their motor home. They had traveled to forty-eight of the fifty states. She loved to go bear hunting, fishing, bowling, playing golf, and shooting pool.
Besides her parents, Freida was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Hendrickson, and two sisters, Virginia King and Pearline Merrill.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne, of the home, two sisters, Virgie Corkill, and her husband, Lyle, of Manes, Missouri, and Shirley Beckman, and her husband, Warren, of Lincoln, Nebraska, and other family and friends who loved her and will miss her very much.
