Freeda Lorraine (Lawson) Meade, daughter of the late John William and Allie Jane (Wilhite) Lawson, was born on February 12, 1922 in Rayborn, Missouri, and departed this life on April 30, 2016 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at 94 years of age.
Freeda graduated from Mountain Grove High School. She married Otis Harold Meade on December 23, 1939. Three children were born to this union: Richard, Gloria, and Roberta. Otis passed away in October 2002.
She married Hilbert Gramelspacher on February 11, 2004. Hilbert passed away in February of 2015.
Freeda enjoyed gardening, crocheting, Bible Studies, and time spent with family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents and her husbands, Freeda was preceded in death by one brother: Lee Parlier and his wife, Zelda; four sisters: Nita Boyer and her husband, Truel, Dorlis Walser and her husband, Mark, Lillian Swager and her husband, Carl, and Alcie Walser and her husband, Tommy; and her son-in-law: Thomas Crutchfield.
She is survived by one son: Richard Meade of Harrison, Arkansas; two daughters: Gloria Glenn and her husband, Jim, and Roberta Crutchfield all of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a special cousin, Daniel Boykin and his wife, Becky, and their three children of Mountain Grove; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and other family and friends.
