Faye Louise (Hallman) Brackett was born April 25, 1936, in Savoy, Texas, to Bonnie Bert Hallman and Pauline (Green) Hallman and passed away May 18, 2019, at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Faye had an older brother, Bonnie Joe Hallman, and two younger sisters, Shirley Ann (Hallman) Norrell and Paula Sue (Hallman) Bonner. She married Willard “Bill” Dean Brackett on January 10, 1951, in Bonham, Texas. He always affectionately called her his “Faydie Lou." They had two daughters, Sheron Elaine and Rae Lynne.
In 1967, Bill and Faye moved their family from Millsap, Texas, to Missouri. They milked cows and raised hogs until Bill’s health began to decline. They moved to Mountain Grove where they spent their remaining years together. Faye remained in her home until her passing.
Faye was a loving mother and homemaker. She excelled at anything she did. She could sew, raise a garden, and grow flowers. She canned, loved to read, and was strong in the Lord’s Church until her health gave out. Faye was baptized into Christ in Bonham, Texas and remained faithful in Christ all her days. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Cabool, Missouri and loved her church family very much.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill, her brother, Joe, one sister, Shirley Norrell, two great-granddaughters, and two nephews.
She leaves behind her sister, Paula Sue Bonner and her husband, Tilmon, two daughters, Sheron Allen and her husband, Norman, and Rae Lynne Swopes and her husband, Dennis, brothers-in-law, V.A. and David, and sister-in-law, Reba.
