Ezra Dean Rodgers, son of the late Charley and Ethel (Clinton) Rodgers, was born on April 11, 1932 in Douglas County, Missouri, and passed away on May 6, 2015 at his home in Douglas County, Missouri. He was 83 years and 25 days of age.
Ezra attended Willow Springs #2 School. He married Lois Geneva Welton on August 9, 1949. Five children were born to this union: Charles, Dale, Benny, Vicky, and Patty.
Ezra worked both as a farmer and carpenter. He loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals on TV and also enjoyed riding his four wheeler. He also liked to tinker with things and could build or fix about anything.
Besides his parents, Ezra was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; his daughter-in-law: Shirley Rodgers; his brother: Amos Rodgers; and his sister: Lois Hewitt.
He is survived by his three sons: Charles Rodgers of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Dale Rodgers and his wife, Rhonda, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Benny Rodgers and his wife, Teresa, of Vanzant, Missouri; his two daughters: Vicky Fox and her husband, Denzil, of Vanzant, Missouri, and Patty Fox and her husband, Darren, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; twelve grandchildren: Michelle Stigall, Jannine Whittier, Chris Rodgers, Mindy Bell, Brandon Rodgers, Lindsey Watson, Charity Lutes, Candace Mayberry, Chelsea Fox, Dylan Fox, Danielle Campbell, and Whitney Fox; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
