Evelyn Giles

Evelyn Marie Giles, daughter of the late Alfred W. and Ethel (Price) Clark, was born September 23, 1926, in Vanzant, Missouri, and departed this life July 31, 2021, in Springfield, Missouri. She was 94 years, 10 months, and 7 days of age.

Evelyn grew up and attended school in Douglas County. She was united in marriage to William Giles in November of 1957 in Mississippi. After William retired from the United States Navy, they made their home in Rogersville, Missouri. After William’s passing in 2012, Evelyn moved in with her sister, Ann Wooldridge. She enjoyed gardening and garage sales. Evelyn was a loving wife, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend.

She is survived by one brother, Dick Clark of Buffalo, Missouri, and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
