Evelyn Anderson

Evelyn Anderson, daughter of the late Raymond and Lena (Wheeler) Mullins, was born on October 14, 1928 in Willow Springs, Missouri and departed this life on January 28, 2010 in Springfield, Missouri, following a short illness. She was 81 years, 7 months, and 14 days of age.
Evelyn grew up and attended school in the Norwood area. She graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1946. She was united in marriage to Norman Anderson on November 20, 1950 in Salem, Arkansas. Three children were born to this union.
Evelyn and Norman owned and operated the Anderson Grocery Store in Norwood, Missouri for many years. She was known as a very loving and kind person to all she met. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and liked going to their ballgames and other activities they were involved in. Evelyn also liked to go fishing. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Evelyn was baptized into Christ as young adult and attended the Church of Christ of Mtn. Grove as long as her health permitted.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Max Anderson; and by her sister: Maxine Roy.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years: Norman Anderson; two sons: Steve Anderson and wife, Sandy, of Norwood, Missouri and Larry Anderson and wife, Carol, of Mansfield, Missouri; one daughter: Sandy Peterson and husband, Steve, of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Matt Anderson and wife, Stephanie, Donny Anderson, Jeremiah Peterson and wife, Shannon, Andy Peterson and wife, Katie, Joey Peterson, Luke Anderson and wife, Angie, and Niki Edwards and husband, Tony; six great-grandchildren; special nephew: Mike Roy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
