Eugenia Delynn (McCallister) McClure, daughter of the late Harold Eugene and Willa Corrine (Coble) McCallister, was born September 22, 1958, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and passed away July 12, 2022, at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Eugenia grew up in the Topaz area and attended school at Cabool until the 10th grade. She was very proud that she received her GED in her late 30s. She worked as a dispatcher at Cornerstone Transportation in Mountain Grove for a few years. She has worked at McDonalds in Mountain Grove for many years, and she was working there at the time of her passing.
The most important thing in Eugenia’s life was her family, especially her grandbabies. She also loved to plan and go on family camping trips. Her home was always open to anyone. She loved to host anyone who needed a place to stay. Eugenia’s absolute favorite time of year was Christmas time. As soon as Christmas was over, she would start planning for the next Christmas. She would save and purchase gifts throughout the year and save them until Christmas. Throughout her life, she worked hard to make sure that her children had a Christmas tree full of presents, and had the best Christmas that she could give them. She even bought extra gifts in case someone brought a friend to Christmas. She wanted to make sure that everyone had a gift. Eugenia was also a big animal lover and she always loved her dogs that she had throughout the years. Her dog, Memphis, was not an animal to her, but he was her best friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Willa, her husband of 20 years, Edwin McClure, and her sister, Sally Mason.
Eugenia is survived by her son, Jacob Owens and his wife, Carrie, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, her daughter, Kimberley McCallister of Houston, Missouri, one step-son, Johnathan McClure and his wife, Missy, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one step-daughter, Jennifer Hutsell and her husband, Junior, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, Dakota McCallister, Bailee McCallister, Raelyn Owens, Braylee Fletcher, Grayson Frederick, Addie Owens, Brynlee Owens, Emberlynn Owens, Conner Ross, Zayne Thornton, and Kain Noble, two great-grandchildren, Saya McCallister and Sebastion McCallister, three brothers, Kirk McCallister and Donna Hazlett, Jimmy Reese, and Dean Reese and his wife, Janay, and one sister, Kelley Casas and her husband, Servando, and many nephews, nieces, and friends who will miss her.
