Eugenia Elizabeth Robinson, daughter of the late George Frederick Scott Sr., and Florence (Fox) Scott, was born on August 5, 1916 in Texas County, Missouri, and departed this life on February 19, 2008 in the Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, Missouri. She was 91 years, 6 months, and 14 days of age.
Eugenia was raised in Texas County and graduated from Houston High School in 1933. She was united in marriage to Albert Jasper Robinson on June 8, 1941. Four children were born to this union. Mr. Robinson passed away on March 21, 2002.
Eugenia enjoyed being outdoors, especially when tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She also liked to read, cook, and take care of her family and home. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and friend.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Wayne Robinson; and two sisters: Eva Brown and Jessie Ebbert.
She is survived by two sons: John Robinson of Mtn. Grove, and Edwin Robinson of Queen Valley, Arizona; one daughter: Ruth Turner and her husband, Ed, of Olympia, Washington; a daughter-in-law: Helen Robinson of Gilbert, Arizona; one brother: George Scott Jr., of West Columbia, South Carolina; three sisters: Margaret Bressler of Mtn. Grove; Roberta McGinnis of Springfield, Missouri, and Florence Richardson of Houston, Missouri; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
Funeral services for Eugenia Robinson were held Saturday, February 23, 2008, 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Bill Morris officiating. Ray Bradley, accompanied by Teresa Bradley sang “Amazing Grace,” “Old Rugged Cross” and “When They Ring Those Golden Bells.” Pallbearers were Jim Fisher, Lee Fisher, Donald Hutsell, Bob McGinnis, Danny Brown and Leon Bressler. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the directions of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
