Eudene "Dee" Baird

Eudene Kathryn Baird, affectionately known as “Dee”, was a radiant light in the lives of those who knew her. Dee was born on March 1, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, and passed away June 16, 2023. She was 73 years, 3 months, and 15 days of age.

Dee grew up in Kansas and was a proud graduate of Winfield High School class of 1968. She went on to earn an Associate Degree and completed cosmetology school. As a talented cosmetologist, she brought beauty and joy to her clients. Later, she retired from Wal-Mart after many years of dedicated service. Dee was passionate about her hobbies, which included playing piano and organ, enjoying board games—especially the competitive game of Yahtzee—and caring for her beloved animals, including her goats, donkeys, and ducks. Above all, she cherished her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dee was a devoted follower of Jesus and found great solace in attending church services at Friendship Baptist Church as often as she could.

Dee was preceded in death by her father, David Stephenson; her mother, Kathryn Stephenson; her husband, Larry Baird; and her daughter, Kristi Ridgeway.

Dee is survived by her daughters, Stacy Ridgeway and Misty (Ridgeway) Finch; her partner, Charles Berry Sr.; step-son, Charles Berry Jr.; grandchildren, Cheyenne Finch, Josephine Meyer, Robert Ross and wife, Martha, Joseph Allen, and Dakota Allen; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.
