Esther Cleo (Keller) Wrinkles

Esther Cleo Wrinkles, daughter of the late Rufus and Alice (Hutchison) Keller, was born on June 28, 1917 at home, between Champion and Denlow, Missouri, and departed this life on January 17, 2013 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. She was 95 years, 6 months, and 20 days of age.

Esther grew up in the Champion and Denlow Communities and attended the Denlow School. She was united in marriage to Raymond Mears on February 7, 1935. Two sons were born to this union.

She was later married to Clifford Wrinkles on September 27, 1946. One son was born to this union. They made their home in Douglas County for many years.

Esther and her good friend, Ruby Proctor, were baptized into the Lord in June of 1943 by Ervine Waters.

Esther loved the church, going fishing, making quilts, baking pies, playing Skipbo and listening to Bluegrass music. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and visiting with her many friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Wrinkles; one son: Donnie Mears; one granddaughter: Linda Mears; and by one brother: Cecil Keller.

She is survived by her two sons: Lonnie Mears and his wife, Verla, of Springfield, Missouri, and Larry Wrinkles and his wife, Teresa, of Vanzant, Missouri; one grandson: Doug Reese and his wife, Karen, of Camden, North Carolina; two granddaughters: Deanna Harris and her husband, Greg, of Overland Park, Kansas, and Ashley Theodouro and her husband, Michael, of Camden, North Carolina; two great-grandsons: Gavin Harris and Quinton Reese; one sister: Irene Dooms of Ava, Missouri; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.

in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Visitation: Sunday,
January 20th from 2:00 PM

– 4:00 PM in the funeral home.
