Ervan and Betty Prock were married December 31, 1948 in Houston, Missouri.
Ervan accepted Christ as a young father at the age of 33 years and lived the rest of his life devoted to the Lord and to his family. Through his life, he kept a daily ritual of reading his Bible. He was a meat cutter for 24 years and a member of the Meat Cutters and Retail Clerks Union. In his later years, he worked for his son-in-law’s business.
Ervan adored his seven grandchildren. His patience was unending when it came to them and his love for them was unconditional. There was always plenty of candy, Hostess cakes and the latest cartoon clip he had saved to share with them. He carefully passed his deep faith onto them.
Ervan was an avid reader and always kept abreast of current affairs. He loved to engage in lively discussions about politics and passed this passion onto each of his children.
Ervan fought through a number of health issues and managed through chronic pain so he could be with his family. He had tremendous grit, determination and fortitude.
