Ernest Everett Todd, son of the late Everett and Agnes (Weatherly) Todd, was born on September 15, 1954 in Lebanon, Missouri, and passed away on October 30, 2011 in the Christian Health Care Center in Lebanon, Missouri, at 57 years of age.
Ernest grew up and attended school in the Manes Community. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri when he was sixteen years of age to work in construction, hanging sheetrock. He was employed as a sheetrock hanger for over thirty years in several states before he became disabled.
Ernest enjoyed being outdoors, especially when hunting, and fishing for bass or crappie. Randy Pruitt, one of Ernest’s friends, liked to refer to him as “Ernest T. Bass.”
He also liked to play the guitar and sing. His favorite song was “Amazing Grace.”
Ernest will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by two sisters: Peggy Hampton of Theodosia, Missouri and Hannah Jo Todd of Lebanon, Missouri; two special nephews: Tim Cantrell and Tom Cantrell; a special niece: Darla Jo Harmon; and other extended family and many friends.
