Eric Ryan King, born on August 8, 1986, passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 38. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. The beloved son of Brenda Cameron and Victor King, Eric was also a cherished brother, grandson, nephew, and friend to many. His time with us may have been brief, but his incredible spirit and zest for life will leave an unforgettable mark on everyone he knew.

Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Donna Lofton, bonus grandfather Eddie Lofton, paternal grandfather Wayne King, and brother Christopher King. He is survived by his mother Brenda Cameron, and bonus father Peter Cameron; his father Victor King, and bonus mother Teresa King; his sister Sophia Cameron; his brothers Jason Cameron and wife Angie, Phillip King and wife Shaley, Julian Cameron, and bonus brothers Ryan, Kevin, Trevor, and Michael Cameron; his maternal grandfather Robert Woodward, and bonus grandmother Jeannine Woodward, paternal grandmother Martha Roman; his material aunts Sherri Woodward, Susan Woodward, Staci Rada, Stephanie Fletcher, and uncle John R. Woodward; his paternal aunt Debbie Casteel, and bonus uncle Shawn Casteel, and his uncle Paul King.

Eric's energetic and adventurous spirit were on full display from the moment he was born. Eric was an amazing whirlwind of energy and enthusiasm. He lived life to the fullest, traveling across the globe, sharing his stories and adventures with those who loved him. Whether playing basketball in Idaho with friends, surfing at Seabright Beach in Santa Cruz, California with his father Vic and brother Phil, or lighting up a room with his sharp sense of humor, Eric lived fully, loved deeply, and made memories that will last forever.

His wicked sense of humor and sharp sarcasm were perfectly balanced with a deep warmth and loyalty, endearing him to everyone he met. Eric never judged anyone and was always ready with a kind word or a joke to lighten the room. He was a loving son, close to both his mother, Brenda, and his father Vic. From a young age, he always wanted to give the best, even if it meant “borrowing” the neighbors' prized roses for a bouquet at the age of five to give to his mom to show his love for her. As he grew older, no matter where his travels took him, he made sure his mom and dad always knew he was thinking of them.

Eric's love for sports, especially surfing, was evident throughout his life. His favorite place was Seabright Beach, where he spent countless hours catching waves. His athleticism and strength were matched only by his love of adventure, and his passport was filled with stamps from countries and places many people only dream of visiting. His adventures took him across Asia, Europe, North America and Africa. Some of his favorite destinations included the Philippines, China, South Korea, France, Greece, Egypt, and Mexico.

Though his journey on this earth ended too soon, Eric lived more in his 38 years than most do in a lifetime. His presence brought joy and laughter to those around him, and his absence leaves a profound emptiness. Yet we take comfort in knowing that Eric is at peace in heaven, reunited with his little brother Chris and his grandparents. We can only imagine them together, sharing the same joy and laughter they did here on earth

Eric’s passing is an immeasurable loss, but we hold onto the hope that one day we will see him again. Until that day, we will miss him more than words can say. Rest in peace, Eric. We love you beyond measure and will carry you in our hearts forever.
