Elizabeth Pauline Dorris, daughter of the late Charley Newton and Gertie Mae (Whited) Wade, was born on September 14, 1926 in Manes, Missouri, and departed this life on February 27, 2015 at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri, at 88 years of age.
Pauline grew up in Manes. She married Howard Gene Dorris on February 14, 1946. They made their home in Manes for several years before moving to Mountain Grove to be near her work and her mother. Pauline cared for her mother for many years.
Pauline had no children of her own but she was completely dedicated to her siblings and their children. She loved family gatherings and always was willing to give a helping hand to those around her in need. Pauline enjoyed reading and watching tv in her spare time.
Pauline was dedicated to her work as a Medical Receptionist for Dr. Louis W. Biesemeyer in Mountain Grove for almost 40 years.
Besides her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband: Howard Gene Dorris; one brother: Clarel Bud Wade; and by one sister: Alice Jeannine Lawler.
She is survived by two sisters: Betty McLean and her husband, Lewis, of Mountain Grove, and Jeanette Riley and her husband, Kevin, of Independence, Missouri; many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
