Elizabeth Irene Leighty

Elizabeth Irene Leighty, daughter of Stella Marliere and the late Ralph Marliere, was born September 4, 1978, and passed away suddenly on December 12, 2018, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was 40 years, 3 months, and 8 days of age.

Elizabeth was born in Peoria, Illinois. She graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1996. Elizabeth worked in management at Richard’s Brothers in Mountain Grove for many years. She married Derek Leighty on July 15, 2006.

Elizabeth was mom to three boys, Tyler, Jordan, and Derek. She loved spending time with her kids and caring for them. She also enjoyed caring for others and always put others ahead of herself. Elizabeth had a happy disposition, often times cracking jokes and finding laughter in most situations. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading books and working puzzles on her phone. She was a good friend and cherished time spent with her friends and family.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Marliere, and her brother, Ralph Marliere Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Derek Leighty, of Mountain Grove, three sons, Tyler Rensch of Springfield, Missouri, Jordan Rensch and Derek Leighty II, both of Mountain Grove, Missouri, her mother, Stella Marliere of Mountain Grove, Missouri, two brothers, Michael Marliere of the state of Iowa and Mike Lancaster of the state of Illinois, three sisters, Melanie Hibbard of the state of Washington, Danielle Elsner of Cabool, Missouri, and Dawn Marliere-Jones of the state of Iowa, and other relatives and friends who will greatly miss her.
