Edrie Emiline Stephens, daughter of the late Henry Gordon and Minnie Lea (Ferguson) McNairn, was born on July 11, 1922 in Izard County, Arkansas, and departed this life on March 29, 2013 in the James River Care Center in Springfield, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 90 years, 8 months and 19 days of age.
Edrie grew up on a farm in Fulton County, Arkansas and attended school in Morriston. She was united in marriage to Delson Stephens on December 12, 1953 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas. They made their home in Arkansas for several years.

She served in many areas while working at Girlstown. She made a positive impact on those around her and was always there for anyone who had a need.

At the time of her passing, she was a member of the Church of Christ that meets on First Street in Mtn. Grove. She enjoyed attending services as long as her health permitted.
