Edward “Ed” Keys, son of the late Leonard and Bessie (Shields) Keys, was born September 14, 1937, in California, and passed away December 25, 2019, at his home in Mansfield, Missouri. He was 82 years, 3 months, and 11 days of age.
Ed grew up and attended school at Norwood, Missouri. Ed worked for Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory for over 30 years. After they closed he went to work at Ozark Furniture Wholesale repairing furniture.
He loved to go cruising, traveling, and listening to gospel music. Ed loved “all his kids” including nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great nephews and great-great nieces.
Besides his parents, Ed was preceded in death by seven brothers, Dean, Eldon, Don, Ray, Joe, Paul, and Roy Mac Keys, and one sister, Iva Hutson.
He is survived by two brothers, Darrell Keys and wife, Myrna, of Strafford, Missouri, and Walter Keys and wife, Linda, of Marshfield, Missouri, one sister, Julia Burtchett and husband, Bill, of Springfield, Missouri, numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces, great-great nephews and great-great nieces and other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
