Earn Cook, son of William John Cook and Roxie Faye (Johns) Cook, was born January 15, 1945, in Webster County, Missouri, and departed this life on January 1, 2023, at his home near Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 16 days.
On November 29, 1964, near Ava, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Helen Deatherage, and to this union 3 sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Freddie, and sister, Hazel.
Earnie, as he was known by everyone, is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen; sons, Earnie Dwayne Cook, and wife, Karla, of Mansfield, Missouri, Larry Cook and wife, Nancy, of Rogersville, Missouri, and Lonnie Cook and wife, Susan, of Omaha, Arkansas; grandchildren, Mandy Dye, Jeremy Flynn, Jessica Lynn Cook, Justin Cook, Kendall Cook, and Amanda Lea Bell; great-grandchildren, Trinity Cook, Ryder Cook, and many other great-grandchildren; brothers, Earl Cook of Niangua, Kenneth Cook of Houston, and Danny Cook of Mansfield; sisters, Dorothy Cole of Strafford, Frances Davis, and Kathleen Threw, both of Seymour; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was a dairy farmer most of his adult life and also drove a milk truck for many years for J.D. Porter.
Earnie made a profession of faith in Christ many years ago and has been a member of Mansfield First Assembly of God Church where he served as deacon for 20 years. He and Helen were currently attending Seymour Life Church.
Earnie really didn’t have any hobbies, but he loved and adored his family and spending time with them was the most important thing to him.
We celebrate his life and know that he is in the presence of the Lord.
