Ernest "Eddie" Levan, Jr.

Ernest Edward “Eddie” Levan, Jr., son of Ernest Edward “Ernie” Levan, Sr. and Glady (Sevedge) Levan, was born August 29, 1961, in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life January 4, 2025, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 63 years, 4 months, and 5 days.

 On August 16, 1985, he was united in marriage to Gail Smith, and to this union three children were born.

 He was preceded in death by his father.

 Eddie is survived his wife of almost 40 years, Gail, of the home; son, Zachery Levan and wife, Valerie, of Seymour, Missouri; three daughters, Amanda Bomboy and husband, Roy, of Oklahoma, Hannah Levan and significant other, Jeremy Henry of Seymour, and Gabrielle Parsons and husband, Darin, of Hartville, Missouri; nine grandchildren, William, Kyle, and Kelsey Bomboy, Epiphany, Elijah, and Ezekiel Levan, and Sophia, Hayden, and Melody Parsons; one great-grandchild; his mother, Gladys Levan of Mansfield, Missouri; three sisters, Debbie Britt and husband, Tracy, of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, Pat Lebahn and husband, Tim, of Mansfield, and Angie Combest and husband, Tony, of Springfield, Missouri; his mother-in-law, Helen Smith of Seymour; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

 Eddie was born in Springfield, Missouri, and attended Mansfield Schools, and was an auto mechanic during his working years.

 In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, woodworking, and loved his dogs.

 Eddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle and caring neighbor and friend. We have many memories of special times together that we will always cherish.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Cedar Gap Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
