Earl “Biff” C. Biffle danced his way through 88 years of life. He was born the oldest child to Earl C. and Jesse (Miles) Biffle on April 19, 1929, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and passed away on September 20, 2017, at Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 88 years, 5 months, and 1 day of age.
Biff served in the Air Force, but fainted at the sight of blood. It was a challenging time because one of his jobs was to transport prisoners to have blood drawn.
Biff worked as an engineer for the state of Missouri. He spent his free time in dance groups, hiking, camping, NSS, MVG, and MMV spelunking groups, canoeing, Milice French and Indian War reenactments, American Indian archeology and other outdoor pursuits. Biff got around!
He is survived by his daughter, Blythe Alicia Biffle Jardot of Mountain Grove, Missouri, his sister, Jesse O’Mara of St. Petersburg, Florida, his grandchildren, Leo, Teresa, and Rock Guajardo, and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 10:30 AM, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Father Paul Wightman officiating. His ashes will be interred at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
