Earl 'Butch' Oliver Coplin, Jr.

January 17, 1964 — March 1, 2014

Earl Oliver “Butch” Coplin, Jr., son of Earl Oliver and Lois (Smith) Coplin, was born on January 17, 1964 in Festus, Missouri, and departed this life suddenly on March 1, 2014 at his residence in Falcon, Missouri. He was 50 years and 1 month and 14 days of age.
Butch grew up around Mtn. Grove and attended school in the area. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on August 21, 1987. Following his discharge, he returned to his home in Desoto, Missouri to raise his only son, Butch Lennon Coplin, who now resides in Alton, Illinois.
Butch enjoyed being outdoors, camping, spinning fire, building bonfires, playing horse shoes, foosball, shooting pool and going to concerts. He loved listening to music and some of his favorites were Grateful Dead, Bob Marley, and Goose Creek.
Butch was preceded in death by his father: Earl Coplin, Sr., who lived in Herculaneum, Missouri.
He is survived by his mother and step-father: Lois Kay and William Daniels of Falcon, Missouri; his girlfriend of eleven years: Jeanine McClure of Falcon, Missouri; his son: Butch L. Coplin of Alton, Illinois; his sister: Billie Jo Daniels and Donald Len Harp, of Falcon, Missouri; Billie’s children, JoDee and JoLee; three step-sisters: Beverly Wulf of Alaska, Jessica Daniels and Abby Daniels, both of Eureka, Missouri; his brother: Jason Colpin and his wife, Kim, and their children, of Pevely, Missouri; and over one hundred family members living in the area; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
