Dorothy Sue Hicks

Dorothy Sue Hicks was born on December 6, 1956, at Montpelier, Ohio, to the late William Isaac Bennett and Geneva Ilene (Wiyrick) Bennett, and passed from this life peacefully on December 9, 2022, at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 66 years and 3 days of age.

Dorothy moved with her family to Wright County, Missouri, when she was very young. She grew up in Mountain Grove and worked as a welder at Hutchins steel plant in Mansfield, Missouri. Dorothy was saved and baptized at a young age and was prepared for her eternal home in heaven.

She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She especially liked her animals. She had house pets, but she also had numerous wild pets that she made welcome with her own animals. She loved her family and instilled in them a good work ethic. Dorothy faced life with a positive outlook that was highlighted by her good sense of humor.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, James “Bud” Aldridge and his wife, Sabrina, Ethan Hicks and his wife, Reannon, all of Mountain Grove; her brother, Larry Bennett and his wife, Roberta, of Mountain Grove; her sister, Linda McCall of Mountain Grove; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
