Dorman E. Edwards

Dorman Ercel Edwards, 80, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, passed away on January 3, 2018, at his farm outside Mountain Grove. He was born on February 25, 1937 to John Ercel and Esther Faye (Brown) Edwards.

Dorman was united in marriage to Georgia Mae Smith on November 21, 1958, in Norwood, Missouri. Five children were born to this union.

Dorman loved being on the farm and raising beef cattle. He also enjoyed going to the lake. He lived a life of hard work and had big, strong, calloused work hands that could be intimidating in his hand shake.

Dorman took great pride and joy in his family. He loved each one of them and was very proud of his children, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. His life had a great impact on his family. He was a man of integrity and humbleness.

Dorman attended Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Mountain Grove. He had retired from DFA in Cabool, Missouri, after working there for many years.

Besides his parents, Dorman was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Mae, an infant son, Dorman Lynn Edwards, a granddaughter, Amanda Lee Edwards, a great-grandson, Destyn Heath Yarger, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Alta Smith.

He is survived by one daughter, Dorna Yarger and her husband, Wendell, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, three sons, Keavin Edwards and his wife, Lori, of Willow Springs, Missouri, Jeff Edwards and his wife, Teresa, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Darren Edwards and his wife, Crystal, of Norwood, Missouri, his grandchildren, Jerred Yarger and his wife, Dana, Nathan Yarger and his wife, Charlotte, Rebekah Frazier and her husband, David, Joseph Edwards, Jeremy Edwards, Mark Edwards, Jessie Kennedy, Jonathan Edwards, Zach Edwards, Rachel Emery and her husband R.J., Randi Mabe, Kaiti Edwards, and Christopher Edwards, twenty great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Betty Mains of Willard, Missouri, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.
